Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson (28-3-1) made a successful ONE FC debut with a submission victory over former Pancrase standout Yuya Wakamatsu (10-4) at ONE Championship: A New Era, aired by Bleacher Report. In the second round, Johnson gained side control and softened his man up with elbows before working in a modified guillotine choke and inched that much closer to the 30-career wins mark and winning the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix.
“I train with the best back in AMC Kickboxing and Pankration in Seattle,” Johnson said inside the cage after the fight. “I can’t wait for the next round.”
