Contenders aplenty

The main event will showcase the opposing styles between lightweight contenders Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone and ‘Raging’ Al Iaquinta. Even though it’s not Cowboy vs. McGregor, this is a good fight and respectable matchup. This will give Cerrone a top 5 opponent after his two impressive victories over Mike Perry and Alexander Hernandez and Iaquinta will have the opportunity to cement his ranking against a veteran and future Hall of Famer.

In the co-main event, Derek Brunson will face Elias Thoedorou in a middleweight clash. Other interesting fights to keep your eyes out for on the main card include Cub Swanson vs. Shane Burgos, Brad Katona vs. Merab Dvalishvili and Walt Harris vs. Sergey Spivak. Though it doesn’t seem as though there are too many big names on this card, the matchups could make for some action packed fights.

Zahabi is back

On the prelims there is also a lot of up and coming talent that you won’t want to miss either.  After running through TUF 28 series and knocking out Gina Mazany in less than two minutes Macy Chaisson has a tough fight ahead of her with Sarah Moras who is also a TUF veteran. Another interesting fight on the prelims includes Aiemann Zahabi vs. Vince Morales. Aiemann Zahabi is the brother of coaching legend Firas. In his first six professional fights he earned stoppages in less than one round apiece but settled for a judges’ decision in his UFC debut. Vince Morales is also an exciting young prospect from the Contender Series who has knocked out five opponents and submitted another two. Morales is looking to make his comeback in the UFC octagon.
