The hands on Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg (5-2) looked every bit as advertised this morning in Singapore.
Zoltsetseg, a 2016 Olympic boxer out of Mongolia, headlined ONE Warriors Series 6 and turned in a first-round knockout of South Korea’s Hyun Jin Lee (2-1).
Both men strolled to center of the ring to open the contest, feeling out their opponent. When Zoltsetseg, 22, noticed his man’s hands held high, he shot a bullet of a right cross into Lee’s midsection.
Lee, 31, subsequently began backing himself into the corner. And there his younger counterpart pitched an overhand left that rattled Lee. Zoltsetseg jumped him with some 14 unanswered blows that prompted the referee to jump in just 81 seconds into the fight.
Zoltsetseg has now won three in a row. Three of his seven professional wins are by knockout. This was his fifth start for Rich Franklin’s OWS.
