Max Holloway: ‘I should be No. 1 pound-for-pound’

Megan Olivi caught up with a victorious Max Holloway following the featherweight champion’s successful title defense over Brian Ortega, his second since earning full-status in the summer of 2017.

The win extended Holloway’s winning streak to 13 straight. Already the No. 5 pound-for-pound fighter in the world heading into Saturday’s main event, the Hawaiian-born virtuoso believes his latest TKO win was good enough to place above every other mixed martial artist on the planet.

“I should be the No. 1 pound-for-pound in this game,” Holloway told Olivi backstage. “If there’s anyone else, step forward—I’ll take them all.”
