Henry Cejudo Blasts TJ Dillashaw in 32 Seconds

Henry Cejudo is the real deal.

The Flyweight champion only needed 32 seconds to dispatch TJ Dillashaw in Brooklyn.

Dillashaw was dropping down in weight in an attempt to join the ranks of becoming a double champion. Cejudo however had no intentions of allowing that to happen.

The prevailing thought was that this fight would happen in one of two ways: TJ would keep things standing and dominate Cejudo on the feet or Cejudo would turn this into a grappling affair. Neither came to fruition tonight.

It turned out that Cejudo wanted things to stay on the feet as he completely rocked Dillashaw in the first few seconds and jumped on him forcing the referee to end the contest. The win tied the fifth fastest knockout in a title fight in UFC history.

This win will greatly enhance the legacy of Cejudo. But, even more importantly, the win may have single handily kept the Flyweight division alive.

Henry Cejudos nickname in the octagon is “The Messenger.” Ironically enough he sent a big message to everyone that he is not a flash in the pan or one hit wonder.

He may be one of the best fighters ever, and currently in the prime of his career With wins over Demetrius Johnson and now Dillashaw, the former U.S. Olympian’s place among the all-time greats cannot be denied.

2019 began with a bang for the UFC. This will be a year to remember.
