Former Bellator and Titan FC middleweight Dakota Cochrane (32-13) returns to the cage on Thursday in Winterhaven, California for M-1 Global: Battle in the Desert. There to meet him will be Brazil’s Joilton “Peregrino” Santos (28-7, 1 NC) in the five-round main event of a seven-fight show to be aired on UFC Fight Pass.
Cochrane made waves in November 2018 when he knocked out one-time UFC champion Johny Hendricks at Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation 1. In his last official MMA match, he succumbed to a rear naked choke in July 2018. The Nebraska brawler was originally scheduled to face James Warfield-Lane until the latter dropped out and was replaced at the end of March by Santos.
The card also features 320-fight super veteran Travis Fulton.
